A Hughesville resident sustained minor injuries in a traffic crash in Pettis County on Sunday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as the driver of a northbound vehicle, 29-year-old Colleen Basnight, reportedly attempted to slow the vehicle for a curve. The vehicle reportedly began to slide on the ice-covered roadway, traveled off the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.
Basnight, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by a private vehicle to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia for treatment.
The crash happened at about 6:50 p.m. on Cherry Tree Lane at Main Street.
