After getting input and estimates from pool experts, the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen has decided it will put a bond issue before voters during the Municipal Election in April.
According to city clerk Michelle Fuehring, during its special-session meeting on Monday, January 15, the board approved a measure being placed on the ballot asking the voters to approve an additional $500,000 worth of bonds to pay for the repairs to the city pool. Voters already had approved a bond measure to the tune of $305,000, but costs far exceeded the first estimate the city was given.
Fuehring said now specific ballot language has to be prepared.
