The clock it ticking… If you want to run for a position on a city council, board of aldermen, school board or one of several other boards, time is running out.
During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, January 16, Clerk Debbie Russell said the deadline to file is at 5 p.m.

Russell said at a previous meeting that filings, other than the ones she mentioned here, need to be made with the particular secretary or clerk of the council or board.
Russell said the deadline for all of the municipalities and board clerks/secretaries to submit all of their ballot issues and list of candidates is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23.
