Area fire fighters not only battled a structure blaze but brutally cold temperatures on Tuesday and earlier today.
According to a post on its Facebook page, fire fighters from Johnson County Fire Protection District Stations 5, 7, 10 and Johnson County Fire Protection District No. 2 fought a fully-engulfed structure fire in the 200 block of NW 1051 Road, between Pittsville, Centerview and Holden.
Crews battled sub-zero temperatures throughout, with the temperature reportedly at minus-7 degrees at approximately 1:30 a.m. today.
The residence reportedly was occupied at the time of the fire, but there were no injuries to the residents nor fire fighters.
