Residents in the Fayette R-3 School District will have an issue in which to vote on during the Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 3.
According to a release from the district, during the meeting of the school board this week, it approved language to be placed on the ballot for a no-tax-increase bond. Exact language of the issue was not made available.
In other actions, the board approved a few recommendations made by Superintendent Dr. Tamara Kimball: a Dollar General Literacy Foundation Youth grant for $4,000 to provide resources for elementary students who are below-grade-level readers, readers with learning disabilities, English Language Learners (ELL) and/or students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs); a Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant in the amount of $5,000 for the purchase of mats and other learning intervention tools from math and movement; and the 2018-19 calendar.
