An area law-enforcement agency has issued a warrant for the arrest of a former Sedalia man who is alleged to have killed a woman last weekend in Pettis County.
According to a post on the Sedalia Police Department’s Facebook page, on Friday, January 19, The Pettis County Prosecutor obtained a warrant for the arrest of 28-year-old Justin K. Lewis, a.k.a. Country, (PICTURED LEFT)in connection with the death of 33-year-old Heather McClellan, of Sedalia.
On Sunday, January 14, Sedalia officers and ambulance personnel were dispatched to apartment at East 7th Street in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, medical aid reportedly was rendered to McClellan, who was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center where she later died from apparent stab wounds.
Lewis’s whereabouts are unknown at this time, and is to be considered armed and dangerous. If you see the suspect, call your nearest law-enforcement agency.
Pettis County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of Lewis.
