A Sedalia resident was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Benton County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 66-year-old Glen Temple, reportedly traveled off the roadway, impacted a cattle gate and continued into a private pasture before striking a large tree.
Temple reportedly was transported by Air ambulance helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of injuries.
The accident happened around 5 a.m. on Dillon Road, near U.S. Highway 65.
