The location of a local public hearing to be held this week in Warsaw, in a water- and sewer-rate cases filed by the Missouri-American Water Company (MAWC) has been changed since the original site will not be available.
According to a release from the Missouri Public Service Commission, the local public hearing was originally scheduled to be held starting at noon on Wednesday, January 24, at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The Commission recently was notified that due to water damage, the Knights of Columbus Hall will not be available.
The new site for the local public hearing will be the Warsaw Community Building, Council Chambers (Lower Level), at 181 West Harrison Street. A PSC Staff public-information, question-and-answer session starts at 12 p.m., with the Commission scheduled to receive testimony from the public beginning at 12:30 p.m.
On June 30, 2017, MAWC reportedly filed water- and sewer-rate cases with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual operating revenues by approximately $74.6 million. MAWC serves approximately 457,300 water customers and 13,221 sewer customers in Missouri.
