A Brookfield man is formally charged with a drug-related felony for allegedly selling a opioid medication to an undercover agent last year in Linn County.
A probable-cause statement says on September 13, 2017, 42-year-old Darren Watts reportedly sold five hydromorphone pills to an informant with the North Missouri Drug Task Force in the 200 block of East Canal Street in Brookfield. Reportedly, the pills are classified as a Schedule II controlled substance.
Online court documents say Watts has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabis. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety, with ten percent allowed.
Watt’s initial hearing at Linn County Circuit Court in Linneus is pending.
