A Fayette woman originally charged with a felony in relation to the suicide of an area teenager in 2016, had charges against her dropped during a recent court proceeding in Howard County.
According to online court documents, on Wednesday, January 24, Harley Kaitlynn Branham appeared for a court proceeding, where the state dropped the charges, but found probable cause to continue prosecution. The state bound over the case from the associate division to the circuit division, where Branham waived the preliminary hearing in the new case.
Branham is alleged to have harassed Kenneth Suttner, causing emotional distress, between October 6 and November 30, 2016, where she was charged with a felony for involuntary manslaughter after the findings of a Coroner’s Jury in late January 2017.
Online court documents also said Branham has not been formally charged in the new case yet, but is scheduled to appear for an arraignment hearing at 9:02 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, at the Howard County Circuit Court.
