Marshall Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher asked the school board to approve a change for pay of substitute teachers needed by the district.
Dr. Maher explained the recommended proposal during the school board meeting on Tuesday, January 23.
Dr. Maher said paying a set amount will make it easier for the district and the substitute teacher.
Dr. Maher said the proposed change should not impact the budget.
The school board voted to approve the change.
In other news, the school board recognized students John Haug and Duffin Makings for earning academic all-state honors. The board also approved Dr. Maher, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz and School Board President Brad Guthrey to be able to sign any paperwork necessary for the USDA Government and Farm Service Agency; and approved the federal programs and health services reviews.
