During the meeting of the Marshall School Board on Tuesday, January 23, board members Kathy Green and Susie Thompson gave an update on the progress of finalizing the Owl logo.
They presented two variations that were created from the original that was selected as a concept only from eight contest entries in December. Some school board members thought the two drawings presented manipulated the original too much.
Thompson said they have been getting a lot of art direction, and the nice thing about the design is that there are several different components to it.

Green said a vector file has to be created. She said finalization of the logo needs to be done soon because the gymnasium is being renovated. She said they have been talking to two companies– one in Marshall and the other in Sedalia.

Green said this process has been estimated to cost between $2,000 and $3,000.
