Two Marshall teens each face a felony charge for allegedly stealing from vehicles last year in Saline County.
A probable-cause statement says on October 30, 2017, the Marshall Police Department spoke with a victim who stated several subjects had reportedly stole items out of a vehicle at his residence. Reportedly, the victim had cameras installed on the vehicle, which video footage of the incident allegedly identified two 17-year-old suspects as Sheldon Embrey and Ryan Mullins.
During an interview, Embrey and Mullins reportedly each stated on multiple occasions they had went “car hopping” in Marshall and stole various items from vehicles, including the alleged stealing of a firearm during one incident. Reportedly, a third suspect was named, but has not yet been formally charged.
Online court document say Embrey and Mullins each has been charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing of a Firearm and three counts of a misdemeanor for stealing. Bond for each was set at $7,500 cash or surety, with 10-percent allowed.
Each suspect’s initial hearing at Saline County Circuit Court in Marshall is pending.
