Each of a couple of out-of-state residents has been charged with a drug-related felony in Cooper County after illegal substances allegedly were found in their vehicle after a traffic stop on I-70 on January 28.
According to a probable-cause statement, with the help of the Cooper County K-9, Grimm, authorities allegedly found five vacuum-sealed baggies of marijuana, weighing approximately 2-1/2 pounds and approximately five ounces of a liquid THC product.
Arrested were 39-year-old Joseph Brown, of Loveland, Colorado, and 42-year-old Corey L. Murphey, of Louisville, Kentucky.
According to online court documents, each has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana. Bond for each man has been set at $40,000 cash or surety.
Each man is scheduled to appear for an arraignment hearing at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, at Cooper County Circuit Court in Boonville.
