A resident of the state of Florida was injured in a tractor-trailer rollover traffic crash in Lafayette County on Tuesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as an eastbound International, driven by 57-year-old Kenneth Jones, of Jacksonville, reportedly traveled off the right side of the roadway; the driver overcorrected the vehicle to avoid a reference marker and struck a reference marker. The vehicle’s towed unit reportedly jackknifed and overturned and came to rest blocking both lanes of traffic.
Jones reportedly was transported by Concordia Fire to I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs for treatment of moderate injuries.
The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. at the 56.2 mile marker on I-70.
