A Moniteau County resident was injured in a traffic crash involving wildlife in Pettis County on Tuesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 43-year-old Kellie Newell, of Fortuna, reportedly struck a deer in the roadway.
Newell reportedly was transported by E.M.S. to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash happened at about 8:40 p.m. on U.S. Highway 50, four-tenths of a mile east of Route O.
