A Keytesville man has been charged with a felony for allegedly unlawfully entering a building and stealing items on January 25, 2018.
According to a probable-cause statement, 37-year-old Nicholas Wayne Pope entered the Old Barnes School Building, located at the intersection of Barnes Road and Route U, and physically removed some items.
According to online court documents, a criminal summons has been issued, and Pope has been charged with a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree and misdemeanors for stealing and trespassing. Bond has not been set yet.
Pope’s initial appearance at Chariton County Circuit Court in Keytesville is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27.
