A Hardin resident faces multiple charges for allegedly assaulting a woman on Friday, February 2.
According to a probable-cause statement, the alleged victim said 25-year-old Shane McGinnis threw a phone that hit her in the head; threw her to the ground; pinned her to the bed by her throat; attempted to put her in a trash can and then dumped trash all over her during an altercation.
Online court documents say McGinnis has been charged with a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree; four counts of a Class E Felony for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree; and three misdemeanors for domestic assault. Bond has been fixed at $25,000 cash only, with special unspecified conditions.
McGinnis’ initial hearing at Ray County Circuit Court in Richmond is pending.
