Two Brookfield residents sustained injuries in a rollover traffic crash in Macon County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 49-year-old Derek Sturguess, reportedly slid off the right side of an ice-covered roadway, struck a ditch, overturned and came to rest on its top.
A passenger in the vehicle, 46-year-old Sherri Johnson-Sturguess, reportedly sustained serious injuries and the driver minor injuries. They reportedly were transported by Macon County ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
The crash happened at about 4:40 p.m. on U.S. Highway 36, two miles west of Macon.
