A Marceline resident sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Chariton County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 88-year-old Robert Bolzendahl, of Triplett, reportedly lost control of his northbound vehicle on an ice-covered roadway, and his vehicle reportedly crossed into the path of a southbound vehicle, driven by 33-year-old Jessica Foster, of Marceline.
Foster reportedly suffered moderate injuries, while a 5-year-old passenger in her vehicle and Bolzendahl each suffered minor injuries. The injured persons reportedly were transported by Linn County ambulance to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment.
The crash happened just before 4 p.m. on Missouri Highway 11, one-quarter of a mile north of Route C.
