Marshall Parks and Recreation Superintendent Jeff Stubblefield asked the park board to give the OK to an agreement between the department and the Salt Fork YMCA during its meeting on Wednesday, February 7.
Stubblefield outlined the major points of the proposed agreement, which calls for the YMCA to provide lifeguard for the Marshall Aquatic Center.

Stubblefield said the parks department will continue to provide the maintenance of the facilities, and the proposed agreement, which he says is good for the parks department, the town and the YMCA, is good for three years.

Stubblefield added the director then will oversee the lifeguards, and they can work at either place.
The board approved Stubblefield’s request to enter into the agreement.
