A Sedalia woman is facing a felony charge for allegedly stealing a vehicle from a parking lot in Marshall on January 10, 2018.
According to a probable-cause statement, the owner of the vehicle said he parked it and went into a restaurant to get some food. He left the vehicle running with the keys in it, and saw somebody get in and drive off. Five days later, a Marshall Police officer interviewed Heather Nicole Reyes, who allegedly admitted that she stole the vehicle on January 10 and later left it parked in Higginsville.
According to online court documents, Reyes has been charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing a Motor Vehicle. Bond has been set at $7,500 cash or surety with one of the conditions being she is not to have any contact with the alleged victim.
Reyes’ initial hearing at Saline County Circuit Court in Marshall is pending.
