A Carrollton resident charged with two sex-related felonies for alleged incidents involving a juvenile between October 10, 2016, and February 5, 2017, is due in an area courtroom this week.
According to a probable-cause statement, Jeffrey R. Corey allegedly molested the juvenile by subjecting her to sexual contact on more than one occasion.
Online court documents say Corey has been charged with a Class B felony for Child Molestation in the First Degree and an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree-Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less than 14 Years Old.
Corey, who reportedly entered a plea of not guilty during a hearing on August 20 and had his request for change of venue granted by the court, is due for a criminal-setting hearing at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, at Ray County Circuit Court in Richmond.
