Marshall fire fighters were toned out on Saturday, February 10, to put out a residential fire.
According to a spokesperson at the fire department, the call came in at 6:58 a.m., and fire fighters arrived on the scene in the 400 block of South Benton Avenue three minutes later. The blaze was deemed under control at 7:17 a.m., and the last truck left the scene at 8:55 a.m.
The fire, which fire fighters believe was caused by overloaded circuits, caused an estimated $30,000 damage to the residence and $2,000 to its contents.
No injuries were reported from the scene.
