A representative from the Missouri State Auditor’s Office was on hand to inform residents about a future audit to be conducted on the City of Glasgow during the board of aldermen meeting on Monday, February 12.
Audit Manager Todd Schuler said the state will conduct a free audit in response to a petition by residents calling for a review of financial dealings while a former administrator was in office.
Schuler detailed the current plan of action for beginning the audit.
Schuler said residents can contact the auditor’s office with information pertaining to the audit.
Schuler said the audit can take several months to compete, but the time frame could change depending on what information is found.
Schuler added residents can get contact information from the city or by visiting www.auditor.mo.gov.
