A Kansas City man who led law enforcement on a high-speed chase, fled the scene after crashing his vehicle on July 26, 2017, and was charged with a couple of felonies pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to spend several years in state prison on Tuesday, February 13.
Online court documents say Felipe Reyna entered a guilty plea during his arraignment hearing to a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree and a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest, Detention or Stop by Fleeing.
Court documents also say, pursuant to the state’s recommendation, the judge reportedly sentenced Reyna to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on the tampering charge and four years on the resisting charge, with the sentences to run concurrent to each other.
Reyna was remanded to the custody of the Saline County Sheriff for delivery to the Department of Corrections.
