A St. Louis man allegedly stole a vehicle in Saline County and lead law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit, where he eventually was apprehended in Livingston County on Saturday, February 17.
According to a release from the Marshall Police Department, at 10:51 a.m., a representative of AG-Power contacted officers and reported a 2017 work truck had been stolen. The reporting person stated a GPS device was attached to the vehicle, which is able to provide to the minute tracking on a computer monitor.
At 11:01 a.m., officers contacted the Carrollton Police Department, which advised their officers were currently attempting to stop the vehicle. The suspect reportedly exceeded the posted speed limit at one point by 4o miles per hour and failed to yield to multiple agencies, including the Missouri Highway Patrol.
At 11:37 a.m., The vehicle came to a stop near Chillicothe, and deputies with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office apprehended the suspect and transported him back to Saline County.
Per KMMO policy, the suspect’s name will not be disclosed due to formal charges not being filed yet.
