A Sedalia resident has been charged with multiple felonies after a vehicle pursuit by authorities on February 15.
According to a probable-cause statement, a report was filed that a vehicle had been stolen. During a search for the vehicle, authorities were tipped off that the vehicle was at a residence in the 1400 block of East 7th Street. The driver of another vehicle reportedly drove away from the scene and did not stop for authorities. A vehicle pursuit ensued and reached speeds in excess of 75 miles per hour. The driver reportedly eventually stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. Authorities eventually arrested Adam Mosley and noticed the vehicle Mosley was driving was registered to another person and its license plate belonged to the car that had been reported as stolen. Authorities also allegedly found methamphetamine on Mosley.
Online court documents say Mosley has been charged with a Class D Felony for Receiving Stolen Property; Class E Felonies for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana and Resisting Arrest or Stop By Fleeing, Creating a Substantial Risk of Injury or Death to Any Person; a driving-related misdemeanor. Bond has been fixed at $20,000 cash or surety.
Mosley reportedly appeared via video and was arraigned on Tuesday, February 20. His cause has been continued for another hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, at Pettis County Circuit Court in Sedalia.
