MoDOT crews are currently out monitoring and treating roadways as freezing rain is expected in the KMMO listening area on Thursday, February 22.
According to MoDOT, national weather experts say winter storm “Oliver” is expected to continue to travel across Missouri today. Many area motorists can expected to receive freezing rain, ice, sleet and snow. A winter weather advisory has been issued for much of the state, and drivers are being warned about possible dicey commutes during these condition.
MoDOT advises motorist to slow down, wear seat belts and remove distractions, especially cell phone use while driving.
