A Lincoln man accused of the murder of an area woman earlier this year, entered his plea during a recent court proceeding in Pettis County.
According to a post on the Sedalia Police Department’s Facebook page, on January 21, 28-year-old Justin K. Lewis (PICTURED LEFT) turned himself into authorities and was taken into custody without incident for the alleged stabbing death of 33-year-old Heather McClellan, of Sedalia.
Online court documents say Lewis is facing a Class A Felony for Second-Degree Murder, an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Used of a Weapon.
Lewis waved his formal arraignment and entered a plea of not guilty on February 20, and his cause was continued for a case hearing at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 19, at Pettis County Circuit Court in Sedalia.
