A St. Louis man who allegedly stole a vehicle from an area business and led law enforcement on a pursuit recently, has been formally charged with a felony in Saline County.
According to a release from the Marshall Police Department, on February 17, a representative of AG-Power reported a 2017 work truck had been stolen. The reporting person stated a GPS device was attached to the vehicle, where Livingston County deputies eventually apprehended 20-year-old Jeremiah Bailiff and transported him back to Saline County later that day.
Online court documents say Bailiff has been charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing a Motor Vehicle. Bond was set at $20,000 cash only with special conditions.
Bailiff appeared in custody via video for his arraignment hearing and advised the court he plans to seek private counsel on Wednesday, February 21, and his cause was continued for a counsel-status hearing at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, at Saline County Circuit Court in Marshall.
