During the most-recent meeting of the Marshall City Council, Ward 3 Councilman Dan Brandt made an announcement regarding the compost program.

In other news, Ward 1 Councilman Dewey Hendrix said the Marshall Police Department is able to collect unused or outdated prescriptions at any time.

Hendrix also announced the police department is advising all residents to lock up their cars because there have been reports of vehicles being pillaged through. He said residents are advised to not leave electronic items in view in the vehicle because they attract attention.
