A Missouri Valley College freshman athlete will be competing for some big bucks at a sports event today.
According to a news release, Jesse Pope, of Waverly, Kansas, will be competing in the bareback-riding event at the RFD-TV American Rodeo at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with a chance to win up to $1 million.
Pope, who currently leads the Ozark Region in the event, reportedly advanced to the event finals after earning one of the top-five highest aggregate scores.
Today’s finals will be broadcast on RFD-TV, beginning with the pre-show at 1 p.m. The event finals start at 2 p.m.
