A Marshall resident was arrested and has been charged with a drug-related felony after a search of a vehicle allegedly revealed him to be in possession of several drug-related items on Monday, March 5.
According to a probable-cause statement, a Marshall Police Officer located some marijuana in three Ziplock baggies; a grinder; cigarillos; digital scales; and other items. The passenger in the vehicle, Quincey Ryan Cash, reportedly told the officer the two occupants in the vehicle were business partners and had been selling marijuana for about two weeks, but he reportedly admitted the items were his alone.
According to online court documents, Cash has been charged with a Class E Felony for Delivery of 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana and a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond was set at $5,000 surety,with several conditions. The driver has not been charged as of yet.
During his arraignment hearing on Monday, March 5, Cash reportedly notified the court that he will be seeking counsel of the public defender. His cause has been continued for a counsel-status hearing at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, at Saline County Circuit Court.
