There will be a new employee at a Saline County law-enforcement agency at the beginning of next week.
Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner made the announcement at the county commission meeting on Tuesday, March 6.
He said Brannon Walker, of Sedalia, has been hired as a deputy in the jail division. He will start on Monday, March 12.
In other news, Clerk Debbie Russell noted absentee voting is continuing for the Municipal Election. Absentee voting will be accepted during regular business hours at the county clerk’s office until 5 p.m. on Monday, April 2. Voters go to the polls to cast their ballots on Tuesday, April 3.
