After a traffic stop and subsequent search of a vehicle at the 73.6 mile marker on I-70 on December 8, 2017, authorities allegedly found multiple drug-related items, and two New Jersey residents have been charged with felonies in Saline County.
A probable-cause statement says authorities found two bottles of THC-infused liquid; three THC vaporizer pipe cartridges; a container of marijuana; seven bags or marijuana seeds; digital scales; glass marijuana pipes and stems; and other items.
Online court documents say warrants have been issued, and Rosio Medina, of East Windsor, and Ben Villa, of Colts Neck, each has been charged with two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid and a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond for each has been set at $7,500 cash or surety.
The initial hearing for each of the accused is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
