A Hughesville man has been charged with a couple of felonies for allegedly slapping a woman and running from Sedalia Police on Monday, March 5.
According to a probable-cause statement, 38-year-old Kevin Clark is alleged to have slapped a woman in the face at a residence in the 1700 block of East 28th Street and then had to be taken into custody in a wooded area after trying to elude apprehension by authorities.
According to online court documents, Clark has been charged with Class E Felonies for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree and Resisting Arrest. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety, with one of the conditions being he is not to have any contact with the alleged victim.
Clark appeared in person in court and was arraigned on Tuesday, March 6. His cause has been continued for another hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
