The Slater City Council was updated on several city projects scheduled to begin and discussed the proposed countywide sales tax measure during a meeting on Tuesday, March 6.
City Administrator Gene Griffith updated the board on the progress of the wastewater and water tower projects.

Griffith then details the progress of the street and sidewalk improvement projects.

In other business, Mayor Dr. Steven Allegri said he has received many questions from residents about the countywide sales tax measure to be voted on during the Municipal Election on April 3. In response to this, the council has recommended residents who want to be informed about the tax measure to attend the next council meeting to discuss the matter. The meeting is scheduled to held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20.
