Saline County Treasurer Marty Smith gave the March sales-tax report during the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, March 8.

Smith also gave the update on the use and law-enforcement sunset taxes.

In other news, Marshall-Saline Development Corporation Executive Director Stan Moore said the Saline County Task Force is continuing to hold its meetings about the half-cent sales tax proposal for economic development within the county. Along with him making a presentation at several meetings over the next couple of weeks, he said he also will be making a short presentation during the Marshall Candidate Forum on March 15 at the Martin Community Center.
Voters will decide on the sales-tax measure on Tuesday, April 3.
