The Glasgow Board of Aldermen received details regarding an upcoming fundraiser to help children in the community during its meeting on Monday, March 12.
Alderman Chris Damron said the Glasgow Lion’s Club and YMCA center are joining together to hold a fundraiser to help under-privileged families pay for program fees for their children to join summer activities hosted by the YMCA.
Damron says the fundraiser is this weekend and will have a special guest.

Damron gives more specifics on the fundraiser and said the proceeds are going toward a good cause.

Damron added residents are invited to the fundraiser which will held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, at the Knights of Columbus Hall. For more information, call Andy Kallmeyer at (660)-338-2234.
In other business, Mayor Fred Foley said the board is looking into hiring a part-time city administrator/clerk, but have not made a decision as its figuring out the best solution to fill the position.
