Roadwork scheduled to start this week will close a portion of a Saline County rural highway.
According to a spokesperson with MoDOT, culvert replacement is scheduled to last several days on Route E, between Route H (Boat Road) and Highway 41. He said the work will cause various road closures beginning on Wednesday, March 14.
The spokesperson said the work will take place from about 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays through Friday, March 16. He said the work also could extend into next week and include the same period of time on Monday and Tuesday, March 19 and 20.
Drivers who normally use that stretch of roadway are advised to seek an alternate route while the work is being carried out.
