Several items or appointments were approved, while others weren’t, during the meeting of the Sweet Springs Board Aldermen on Monday, March 12.
According to City Clerk Michelle Fuehring, aldermen gave the approval of a contract for park attendant to Laurie Eckhoff for $3,150– $450 per month, April through October.
By recommendation of the Park Board, Aldermen approved the highest bid received for a contract for the mowing of the park. According to minutes, Willa Vaught’s bid of $7,875 was approved by majority vote. It is to be paid $1,125 per month, April through October.
Aldermen also OK’d the renewal of the annual contract with the Saline County Emergency Management Agency, as well as approved the budget that was presented.
Aldermen also OK’d appointments of Stacy Robb to the Cemetery Board, Debbie Hollingsworth to the I-70 Hospital Scholarship Foundation Committee and Allison Schowengerdt to the Transient Guest Tax Committee.
The bid for a cemetery mowing contract was tabled. Aldermen also tabled a decision on a General Code contract and a discussion about the Transient Guest Tax.
