The MMU Board of Public Works discussed an ongoing sewer-main replacement project during its meeting on Thursday, March 15.
Underground Facilities Director Grant Piper details the project which began last year and makes a recommendation for the second phase of the plan.

Piper added the sewer mains on North English Avenue, from High to Slater Street, is not eligible for the CIPP (Cured-In-Place-Pipe) method of replacement due to several factors. The board approved his recommendation to begin the second phase of the project.
Piper said the last phase will need a project study to be conducted due to several factors.

The board approved for the flow-rate study to be conducted on High Street, from English to Ellsworth Avenue.
