A Sedalia man was killed in a traffic accident in Pettis County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as 82-year-old William Klein reportedly exited his southbound vehicle to open a gate and failed to place the vehicle in park. The vehicle reportedly continued forward and struck Klein.
The accident happened at about 10:45 a.m. in the 30000 block of Route V.
