Several area residents were injured in a traffic accident in Cooper County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of a westbound vehicle, 48-year-old Mary Garrett, of Knob Noster, reportedly lost control of the vehicle due to wet pavement, where the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a rock bluff.
Garrett and passengers, 28-year-old Joseph McNair, of Sedalia, and 29-year-old Leanese West, of Knob Noster, reportedly were transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries.
The accident happened just before noon at the 89 mile marker of I-70.
