The Slater City Council was presented information on a bond issue for the school district during its meeting on Tuesday, March 20.
Slater School District Superintendent Debbie Gonzalez said the bond issue will not increase residents’ taxes and will help fund several improvements projects.

Gonzalez explains the two other improvement projects.

Gonzalez said if anyone has questions about the bond issue, they are urged to call the school district at (660)-529-2278. Slater residents will vote on the issue during the Municipal Election on April 3.
In other business, City Administrator Gene Griffith said the citywide garage sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, and Steve McQueen Day is scheduled on Saturday, June 16.
