After a traffic stop due to license plates not matching the vehicle to which they were issued, illegal substances and a weapon allegedly were found by authorities, and a Sedalia man has been charged with two felonies.
According to a probable-cause statement, the stop occurred on Thursday, March 29, and during a search of the vehicle, authorities reportedly recovered a baggie containing methamphetamine and .22-caliber revolver. The officer inquired about the driver of the vehicle, 50-year-old Darryl Frazier, who reportedly is not allowed to possess a firearm.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued, and Frazier has been charged with Class D Felonies for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of the Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid. Bond has been set at $7,000 cash or surety.
Frazier’s initial hearing at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
