Two Marshall residents suffered injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Jackson County on Sunday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 38-year-old Elizabeth Morand, of Marshall, reportedly lost control of her eastbound vehicle while trying to change lanes, and her vehicle struck another eastbound vehicle, driven by 77-year-old Robert Vieth, of Gladstone. The Morand vehicle also reportedly struck a concrete median barrier.
Morand and a 14-year-old passenger in her vehicle were transported by ambulance to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment of minor injuries. Vieth reportedly was not injured.
The crash happened at about 2:40 p.m. on I-70 at Missouri Highway 7.
