Three candidates are vying to be the Mayor of Sedalia during today’s municipal election.
Running against incumbent Stephen J. Galliher are Kevin Walker and John Kehde.
Also in Pettis County, four candidates are running for two spots on the Sedalia 200 School Board. They are: Matthew Herren, Richard Thomas, Jeffrey Sharp and Steven Schilb.
A race for Mayor in Green Ridge is between Ronnie Ollison and Daniel Williams.
Three persons are running for two alderperson positions in Green Ridge– Boyd Kempher, Tony Turner and Charles Martin.
A handful of persons are running for two seats on the Pettis County R-5 School Board: Michael Arnett, Beth Douglas, Lori Beth Lea, Grant Newton and Austin Lea.
Running for two spots on the Smithton R-6 School Board are Curt Tagtmeyer, Stacey Luttrell and Kyle Asbury.
Two persons are running for one position on the Pettis County R-12 School Board– Shawn Harris and Brenda Butler.
Four persons are vying for two spots on the State Fair Community College Board of Trustees: Patty Wood, Jim Page, Diana Sadler Martin and Cynthia Ann Gray.
Keith Rowland and Michael Hawkins are vying for one seat on the Pettis County Fire Protection District 1 Board of Directors.
In the race for two seats on the Knob Noster R-8 School Board are Clint Judd, Sue Lacarias, Casey Cunningham, Greg Colliver and Mary Ann Matthews.
The La Monte School District also is asking for approval of a $2 million bond; the city of Windsor a one-quarter of a cent sales tax; and the Lincoln Community and Care Center and Lakeside Suites for a property tax for services for the community’s senior citizens.
Polls are open until 7 p.m.
