Two candidates are running to be the Mayor of Brunswick in Chariton County during today’s Municipal Election.
David Gates and Wayne Jones are on the ballot. One of them will win a two-year term in the seat.
Five persons are running for two seats on the Brunswick Board of Alderman. They are: Gary Anglin, Jerry Calvert, Donald Grotjan III, Theresa (Tre)) Kussman and Rickey Derenzy.
Reggie Sims, Carol Yung and Timothy Rice are running for two seats on the Brunswick R-2 School Board.
Voters in the city of Brunswick also are being asked to approve a local use tax.
Bryan Scheiderer, Pam Lockard and Terry Lea Hulett are running for two seats on the Salisbury R-4 School Board.
Beverly Newsom and Gladys Parks are running for a seat on the Chariton County Ambulance District 6 Board of Directors.
The Marceline R-5 School District also is asking for approval of a no-tax-increase $2.1 million to fund various projects in the district. And, the Brookfield R-3 School District is asking its voters for approval to continue its current tax levy at 42.39 cents per $100 of assessed valuation on real and personal property.
